Prednisone.
Prednisone has been specially designed for the needs of people diagnosed with certain types of arthritis, multiple sclerosis, or lupus, those with low levels of corticosteroids as well as patients with conditions affecting their lungs, thyroid, stomach, intestines, skin, eyes, kidneys and blood. Tell your health care provider if you think prednisone is not working right for you and your symptoms get worse, as a dose adjustment may be required. Some of the medical conditions you have may also require a dose adjustment – so make sure you tell your health care provider about any of the following ones: ulcers, osteoporosis, tuberculosis, heart disease, condition, intestinal disease, myasthenia gravis, seizures, emotional problems, thyroid disease, high blood pressure, threadworms, mental illness, as well as liver or kidney disease. Serious side effects are quite rare and include the following ones: difficulty breathing or swallowing, muscle twitching, swelling or pain in the stomach, depression, upset stomach, vision problems, sore throat, confusion, shaking of the hands, seizures, sudden weight gain, irregular heartbeat, vomiting, or lightheadedness. If you get any of those – make sure to talk to your doctor right away.
